YOU CANNOT IGNORE STRESS
In our everyday life, we are dealing with stress. We just cannot escape from it and the effects of stress are far more than visible. A little bit of stress is good, i.e., being stressed to prepare for the exam on time, otherwise, we will not prepare for it soulfully. But as we say excess of everything is bad and so excessive stress is bad. So, the only way is give ourselves stress relief by managing stress through stress management techniques and by adhering to various stress relievers and keeping ourselves at bay from the effects of stress. So, I am going to emphasize on how to distress and have stress reduction in this article.
What causes stress?
Urban life, sedentary lifestyle, being short of time, traffic jams, and overexpectation are the few leading cause of causing stress. Few experts consider fight or flight response and stress are same. I would say fight or flight response is also kind of stress but which is momentary what I am talking here is not momentary stress, but prolonged stress. Also, fight or flight response releases adrenaline in our body which is good for our health whereas prolonged stress causes diseases. So, it is essential to know techniques of stress reduction.
Side effects of stress and mental stress symptoms.

Agitation, mood swings, inability to relax, and feeling overwhelmed
Also it gives a sense of being lonely feeling isolated which leads to further depressiveness and unhappiness.
There are a few physical stress symptoms also such as:
Feeling nauseated and feeling dizzy is one of the foremost.
Diarrheic symptoms or feeling constipated, rapid heartbeat, chest pain.
In recent study it has proven that stress leads to loss of sex drive and so marital problems.
Being stressed means either we will eat less or eat more.
Also sleeping excessively or very less.
A stressed person will try to isolate oneself from others
Delay or neglect the responsibilities
To distress one often fall pray to substance abuse such as alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs which further deteriorate the condition.
One can look for the stress symptoms and signs such as nail biting, pacing.
Also, high blood pressure, aches, pains and frequent colds.
MANAGING STRESS THROUGH STRESS MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES
1. Have sense of humor and try to laugh as much as possible, as much is said about laughter therapy and nothing comes before it when it comes to stress management. Also, when not laughing, try to wear a smile in your face, as it will not only make you happy but create a pleasant aura of yourself and everyone will be happy whoever comes in contact with you.
2. Try practicing breathing techniques, such as deep breathing, slow breathing while keeping your mind vacant. Also, try to do exercises like bicycling, swimming, jogging, weight training resistance exercise at least 30 minutes a day. This is one of the most powerful tools of stress management techniques.
3. I never rely on my memory and keep a writing pad handy and write over it whatever I need to remember and being done, so as to avoid effects of stress.
4. Prevention is better than cure. If someone is honking from behind and asking to overtake my vehicle, I just give him a pass and avoid fighting. If my wife argues over something, I just keep mum at that point even if I disagree, and if I want to say something, I say it later on when the things are in better shape.
5. It is not for all, but I myself have felt stressed wearing tight fitting clothes and you are the best judge to know the things causing stress symptoms.
6. I try to fix things beforehand, so as to be relax and enjoy the moment, like, getting an advance ticket to the movie, fixing an advance appointment with the doc, etc., so, as to avoid last minute rush and stress.
7. I always have duplicate keys for my home, car, etc., which helps me at times when I am unable to locate the original from where I kept it the last time.
8. I am not superhuman being and I can only do only a limited amount of work in a 24-hour work schedule even if I am super-organized. So once in a while it is okay, but if someone is asking me to help him out daily in absurd things, I will say a polite no.
9. One needs to set priorities in his/her life and move according to that.
10. I have often felt that negative people flow negative energy and now science also accepts there is an aura of a human being. So, try to be associated with positive attitude people who enjoy life.
11. Time management is one of the best things for managing stress and keeping onself away from effects of stress. It takes time, but you can learn and feel a significant amount of stress reduction.
12. Try to have your meals on time and respect your body clock by going to sleep and rising from bed on time to have stress reduction.
13. Always keep copies of all your important papers, as it will significantly decrease help you to distress if you lose the original.
14. Forsee your daily needs and arrange them beforehand. Also, if anything is not working properly and needs repair, get them done as soon as possible instead of delaying, because improper functioning of those things will definitely add up stress in you life.
15. I am often stressed while getting late at my office by only 5 minutes, so what I do know is just getting up 15 minutes earlier than before and now am happy. Also to avoid the morning hustle-bustle, I prepare for it in the night before only and remained calm and composed in the morning.
16. There few things we dislike and do not want to do it ourselves but needs to do also, so ask someone to help you. Also if any given task is of enormous size, try to break them in small sizes and do them step by step to distress yourself.
17 Life is full of riddles and problems. You solve one and another will come, so look at them as challenges and believe in yourself that no challenge can beat you and you can beat any challenge. If so many people can climb the highest peak in the work, i.e., Mount Everest, cannot you beat challenges of everyday life?
18. Like we say "Every cloud has a silver lining", try to look for the silver lining in everything in life instead of the cloud and keep effects of stress at bay.
19. To be happy, there are so many things one can do like play with kids, pat a friendly dog or cat, being nice and helpful to needy to distress, start playing a game at least once a week, learn dancing, read a nice book, gift flower to someone, be optimistic, do activities such as planting a tree and feeding birds, and so many other things which will make you happy and help you in managing stress and have stress reduction.

A very good overview of all that makes for stress. Who of us today in our rushed society has not suffered?
Not all stress can be avoided and I will be having my share soon with an overseas move to handle and while that's ok leaving my children behind is not.
A good article, thanks!
